For those snowbirds in town for the month of November, plan on taking a drive out to historic downtown Conway for the St. Nicholas Winterfest!  Great food, shopping, and entertainment await you!
For a "Taste of Conway", stop by the Historic Peanut Warehouse from 4:30-8:30 on Thursday, November 15th.   Shop at over 100 vendors at The Winterfest Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday, November 17th from 9:00AM-5:00PM.

Myrtle Beach Snowbirds Love the Dickens Christmas Show!

The 31st Annual Dickens Show and Festival is November 8th-11th at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.  Go back in time to 19th Century London with Victorian street urchins, strolling minstrels, and a display of 50 beautiful Christmas Trees.  I love to get decorating ideas from the tree display!
The show is a great place to find unique gifts for others and for yourself!  Handmade jewelry, quilts, pet accessories, and much, much more!
Get your photo taken with Santa in his Victorian Castle and visit the "Santa through the Ages" exhibit.
Many people don't know that the Dickens Show donates many of the proceeds to local charities.  "The Festival of Trees" featuring 50 beautifully decorated trees proceeds will be given to the local Domestic Abuse Victims charity.  "The Festival of Holiday Tables" centerpieces are sold to support Waccamaw Animal Rescue Mission and "The Festival of Wreaths" proceeds will benefit the local Kiwanis Children's charities.  And all proceeds from the "The Festival of the Worlds" holiday foods will go directly to local charities as well.

New Restaurant for Myrtle Beach Snowbirds to Dine At!

Snowbird friends,

I wanted to tell you about a new restaurant that is opening next week at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach!  Castano's Italian Restaurant, a "dinnertainment" eatery that will play high definition concerts of Frank Sinatra and old school heroes on large screens while one is dining.  It sounds like a really different concept and I am very excited to make dinner plans there! 
The restaurant is boasting  a great wine menu, the latest and greatest martinis and cocktails, and entrees with fun names such as "Now that's a Meatball" and "Happy as a Clam".  The homemade Snickers pie for dessert sounds great!
I will be sure and let everyone know about our dining experience and please feel free to let us know about yours!

Fun November Events for Myrtle Beach Snowbirds!

It is hard to believe that it is already November and with that comes lots of fun holiday events for both locals and Myrtle Beach snowbirds to enjoy!  Southern Coast Vacations will try to keep you updated on all of the North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, and surrounding Grand Strand events, so please keep checking Myrtlebeachsnowbird.com!

Opening this weekend, November 2nd is Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland!  A mega drive-thru light show synchronized to music, Shadracks is located off 21st Ave North in Myrtle Beach at the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Stadium.  The display runs November 2nd-January 6th from dusk-10:00PM nightly.  After the light display, plan on visiting Santa's Village for hot chocolate and a photo with Santa!  There is a $2.00 off admission coupon in the November VISIT newspaper.
