North Myrtle Beach Historical Museum

To all of my snowbird friends, Snowbirds traveling to North Myrtle Beach for the winter will want to add a trip to the North Myrtle Beach Historical Museum to their calendars! The North Myrtle Beach Historical Museum opened up this spring in the old library location off of 2nd Ave North in North Myrtle Beach. The museum has interesting photos and memobrilia documenting the history and growth of North Myrtle Beach. They also have scheduled key speakers and educational seminars. Grand Strand Fall Festivals for October Snowbirds!

Snowbird friends,

To my snowbird friends who are going to be in town for the month of October there are some really great festivals coming up!

October 5th is the Bras Across the Water at Harborgate Marina, in North Myrtle Beach.  The event is a fundraising festival for breast cancer awareness.   There will be a BBQ competition, live music, and lots of vendors.  Last year over 2,000 bras were collected, each with a $1.00 bill clipped to them, and strung across the waterway.  The bras were later donated to local charities.


October 12th and 13th is the Little River Shrimp and Jazz Festival.  Located on the waterfront, this festival is a favorite of locals and tourists alike!  There will be plenty of vendors, live music, lots of great food, and of course a shrimp and grits cook off!

October 26th is the Endless Summer Festival on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach.  It may be the last festival of the year for North Myrtle Beach but it is one of the best!  Vendors, live music, great food, and most of the local shops on Main Street are having sidewalk sales!
