Another Fun Christmas Event for Myrtle Beach Snowbirds!

Snowbird Friends,

I wanted to share another fun Christmas event that I go to every year, the Southport Christmas Tour of Homes and Boat Floatilla. Southport is about a 45 minute drive across the North Carolina state line, heading north on highway 17 towards Wilmington. Saturday, December 11th, is their annual Southport Christmas Tour of Homes which showcases some of the most beautiful and historical homes in this seaside town. The entire town lights up for the holiday season with both merchants and residents decorating their storefronts and homes, while the streets are alive with Christmas spirit! Last year, visitors could take a horse drawn carriage ride thru the town to view the lights. We took a cup of hot chocolate on the ride with us and had an amazing time. People were singing carols and wishing good will-it was really wonderful! The lighted boat floatilla is a small group of boats that are decorated with Christmas lights and float on the waterfront. Although it is always cold, it is a very pretty sight that you certainly don't get to see many places.

Thank you for choosing Southern Coast Vacations as your Myrtle Beach winter rental headquarters!

Debbie
